These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Hugs and Kitties website and to cat-sitting services provided by Hugs and Kitties (“we”, “us” or “our”).
By making and confirming a booking with Hugs and Kitties, you agree to the terms relevant to that booking.
1. Our Services
Hugs and Kitties provides cat-sitting services in Beckenham and surrounding areas.
The services provided, number of visits, dates, prices and any special requirements will be agreed with you before your booking is confirmed.
All services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
2. Booking Requests
Submitting a booking request or contacting us to check availability does not by itself create a confirmed booking.
A booking is confirmed once the arrangements have been agreed with Hugs and Kitties and any required deposit has been received.
Please provide accurate and complete information about your cat or cats, their care requirements and anything else that may reasonably affect the service.
3. Payment and Deposit
A 20% deposit is required to secure a confirmed booking.
Once your booking has been confirmed, payment may be made by bank transfer or another payment method agreed with Hugs and Kitties.
The price and payment arrangements will be confirmed with you as part of your booking.
Any additional services or charges must be agreed with you where reasonably possible before they are incurred.
4. Cancellations and Changes
If you need to change or cancel a booking, please contact Hugs and Kitties as soon as possible.
Where a booking is cancelled, any amount retained or charged will take account of the circumstances of the cancellation and any reasonable loss or costs already incurred in connection with the booking.
Where possible, we will take reasonable steps to reduce any loss resulting from a cancellation.
Nothing in these Terms affects any cancellation or refund rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law.
5. Access to Your Property
You are responsible for providing safe and reliable access to the property for the agreed visits.
Keys, access codes or other access arrangements should be provided as agreed before the service begins.
Any keys or access information provided to Hugs and Kitties will be handled with reasonable care and used only for the purpose of providing the agreed service.
Please let us know promptly if access arrangements change.
6. Your Cat’s Health and Care
You are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about your cat’s health, behaviour, medication, feeding requirements and normal care routine.
Please inform us of any known medical conditions, behavioural issues or other circumstances that may affect the safe care of your cat.
You should provide sufficient food, litter, medication and other necessary supplies for the duration of the booking.
7. Veterinary Emergencies
If your cat appears to require urgent veterinary attention while in our care, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your nominated emergency contact.
Where immediate action is reasonably necessary for the welfare of your cat and we are unable to contact you, Hugs and Kitties may seek appropriate veterinary assistance.
You will normally be responsible for veterinary fees and other reasonable costs incurred for the treatment of your cat, except where the need for treatment results from a failure by Hugs and Kitties to exercise reasonable care and skill.
8. Home and Emergency Information
Please tell us about any relevant safety or security information relating to your home before the booking begins.
This may include alarm instructions, known hazards, emergency contacts or anything else reasonably necessary for us to enter the property safely and provide the agreed service.
9. Availability and Unexpected Circumstances
We will make every reasonable effort to provide the services agreed with you.
Occasionally circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as illness, severe weather, transport disruption or an emergency, may affect our ability to provide a scheduled visit.
If this happens, we will try to contact you as soon as reasonably possible and discuss suitable arrangements.
10. Liability
Hugs and Kitties will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing its services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by inaccurate, incomplete or withheld information supplied to us, except where the law provides otherwise.
11. Website Use
You may use this website for lawful purposes and to obtain information about Hugs and Kitties and our services.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation or use it in a way that infringes the rights of another person.
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on the website accurate and up to date, but availability, prices and service details may change. The details agreed with you for a confirmed booking will take precedence where they differ from general information on the website.
12. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the text, branding, photographs and other original content on this website belong to Hugs and Kitties or are used with permission.
They may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without permission, except where permitted by law.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
